Nkwitchoua – Love Tones

( Cameroun , 1970s , Capriccio )

posted on 01 / 02 / 2026

For today, I wanted to share with you “Love Tones“, an explosive Afro Disco Boogie from Cameroun with crazy synth sounds & powerful horns, taken from a single recorded in the late 70s in Paris (France) by the Robert Nkwitchoua, an obscure Cameroonian composer & musician who recorded three singles before disappearing in Paris in the early 80s.

Produced by the legendary producer Gilles Sala, this single includes some of the best Paris-based Cameroonian musicians of that era, such as Toto Guillaume & Vicky Edimo :

Toto Guillaume : Arrangements, Lead Guitar ;

Francois Amadou Corea : Rhythm Guitar ;

Robert Nkwitchoua : Author, composer ;

Bebe, Esther, Florence : Backing Vocals ;

Vicky Edimo : Bass Guitar ;

Patrick Francfort : Drums ;

Devastating dance floor tool when I play it in clubs, hope you’ll like it – Enjoy !
