Following to this former article, I wanted to share with you for today “Djilali Travolta“, an outstanding Punk-ish Boogie Soul track from Morroco sung in Arabic & English with Rap flavors, crazy synths & Drum machines, recorded in the 80s by the Moroccan James Brown’s answer aka the mythical composer, musician, painter & actor Fadoul / فضول (or “Bob” Fadoul as spelled here in his hype 80s style).

Casablanca native, insatiably curious about new musical genres, Fadoul released a dozen singles in the 70s one some legendary local record labels such as Boussiphone, Atlassiphone & Casaphone, before settling in Paris (France) in the early 80s, where he recorded two underground albums released on very limited quantities on K7 tapes formats, on which he explored the musical trends (Rap, Reggae, Punk & Boogie) & instruments (Synths, Drum machines) of that era.

The song presented here is taken from one of those tapes, impossible to find today to the point of being considered by some as a holy grail of underground Moroccan music. Hope you’ll like it, enjoy !
