For today, I’d like to share with you “Diables Noirs Champions (Part 1)“, an instant feel-good bouncy Afro Folk Soul Disco Funk track from the Republic of Congo with awesome bass & piano parts, recorded in the early 70s by Congolese band “Les Cheveux Crepus” (“Frizzy Hair”) in tribute to the Congolese football team “Les Diables Noirs de Brazzaville”.

Founded in 1960 by the composer Jacques Loubélo, the band included musicians that will become some of the greatest figures of the Congolese music as :

– Antoine Mondanda (Thumb Piano) ;

– Albert Rémy Massamba Coster & Mouninguissa (Guitars) ;

– Maxime Kibongui, Kazis Kinouani N’Zenze, Etienne Fila & Prosper Nkouri (Vocals)

Recorded in Paris (France) in the mid 70s, this track was composed and sung by Kazis Kinouani N’Zenze and arrangement by the legendary Congolese guitar player Sammy Massamba.

Instant dance floor burner, hope you’ll like it – enjoy !
