For today, I’d like to share with you “Pele Rein“, an explosive deep 70s Island Cadence Compas Soul track from Haiti (West Indies) with nervous guitar parts & biguine flavors, taken from the first LP recorded in the early 70s by the legendary Haitian band “Les Loups Noirs” (“The Black Wolves”) on the mythical local label “Ibo Records“.

Led by Gardner Lalanne, the band included some Haitian great figures as Bob Jasmin & Joël Benoit under the orchestration of Oge Longueforce.

Really hard to find nowadays, this LP is always a Tropical sure shot every time I play it it clubs !

Pierre Joseph & La Troupe d'Haïti – Choual Dam Ba Lad

For today, I wanted to share with you “Choual Dam Ba Lad“, a fantastic deep rootsy frantic Cadence Folklore Biguine with a psychedelic swing, one of the multiple versions of the Haïtian Traditional song “Zanmi Camarade“, interpreted here by an Haitian Folkloric Troup leaded by Pierre Benedict Joseph, and recorded in 1974 during a trip of the band to Paris (France).

The band included :

Pierre Benedict Joseph : Leader, Flute, Saxophone ;

Louis Larose : Organ, Piano, Accordion ;

Dieujuste Dorlette : Bass Guitar ;

Ednor Cherisme (Percussions) ;

Mrs Louis Larose, Helene Joanis : Vocals, Chorus ;

Different & really hard to find beautiful LP from start to finish, hope you’ll like it !

For today, I wanted to share with you “Caramba“, a storming Tropical Cadence Latin track, recorded in the 70s by the Haitian band “Les Masterful d’Haiti” and only available on a compilation released on the legendary Guadeloupean record label “Disques Debs” (French West Indies).

Leaded by the composer & musician Pierre François Belony, the band included many great artists such as :

For today, I wanted to share with you “Peuple La Content“, a furious Tropical Island Cadence Funk monster track from the West Indies with killer horn sections, taken from of the several singles recorded in the 70s by the Guadeloupean (French West Indies) band “Les Burger’s” on the mythical French record label “Disques Debs” that was founded in 1959 in Pointe-A-Pitre (Guadeloupe) by the legendary composer & musician “Henri Debs“.

Founded by the brothers “Burand”, the band was composed with :

Lucien Burand : Bass, Bandleading ;

Christian Lobir : Congas :

Jean-Paul Burand : Guitar ;

Joseph Burand : Drums ;

Andre Burand : Guiro ;

Emile Burand : Organ ;

Harry Saint Val, Michel Coesy : Percussion ;

Leo Kominina : Saxophone ;

Pierre Astasie : Vocals ;

One of my favorite dance floor burner of the genre, that never leaves my DJ Bag – Enjoy !
